Abstract

This paper presents a way to check the soil humidity and water level using IoT. The agriculture industry serves as the foundation of India's economy. In the world, India placed in second rank country for agricultural production. Agriculture has been practiced in all countries since our rise. Agriculture is one type of art of growing plants. It is already known that agriculture is a key point for the development of human refinement. The recent agricultural trend of smart agriculture, IoT plays a very significant part in smart agriculture. IoT sensors help provide information for the agricultural sector. An IoT-based agricultural monitoring system allows data to be collected from a network of wireless sensors and this information is transmitted over a wireless protocol. Once the system is realized, it receives information from three dissimilar sensors and this corresponding data is transmitted over mobile phones to make users alert via the Internet of Things and the Blynk interface displays the data, where data can be viewed for soil's moisture level, temperature, and quality of water. Temperature is indicated regularly to a certain level. Depending on different type of crop being grown, it is supported. When it is required to forcibly turn off (stop) water, using the developed IoT model, the button placed by that pump is frequently forced to stop. Farmers can access information using smart devices. The novelty of the paper is a smart irrigation system developed for agriculture using a solenoid valve with the Blynk app interface and analysis of the data is also carried out with the use of wireless sensor networks. Data transport to the Blynk app and data collecting are handled by the wireless sensor network. The novelty of the paper is the usage of WSN for the transfer of data from multiple nodes and collecting all data at the Blynk server.
