| Abstract |
This paper presents a vehicle ignition control system that combines fingerprint and RFID-based authentication, implemented on the Raspberry Pi Pico platform. The purpose of this system is to enhance vehicle security by allowing the engine to start only when the identity of an authorized individual is verified through either fingerprint or RFID scanning. The system connects a biometric sensor and an RFID reader to the Pico microcontroller, which compares the captured data with the stored records to authenticate the user. Upon successful verification, the microcontroller activates a relay to start the engine. In the event of a failed verification, the system promptly triggers an alert to indicate an unauthorized access attempt. This prototype offers a cost-effective, hands-free solution for vehicle access, ensuring increased security and preventing unauthorized usage. |
