| Abstract |
As global energy systems continue to undergo transformation, there is a distinct emphasis on many components of efficiency, sustainability and resilience associated with improving renewable integration and digital innovations. Previous research has identified the importance of transitioning to energy systems that reflect domestic and efficiency elements, implementing meaningful adaptive planning aspects towards long-term sustainability goals. Attempts to assess efficiency, viability economics and resilience basis with intelligent control systems has offered various methods, iterations and some limited scalability led to inconsistencies in each area. The outcomes reached often marginally addressed this dynamic demand for flexibility, presenting all alternative scenarios. In this paper we propose an Integrated Sustainable Energy Transition Framework (ISETF) that integrates renewable energy diversification, artificial-intelligence driven optimization and decentralized energy storage/recovery systems in eliminating earlier-mentioned inconsistencies. The framework of the ISETF has been demonstrated to identify improvement in efficiency through smarter system operation for systems that have reduced reliance on carbon, and provided a means to adaptive energy management under various situations. Systematic understanding of the simulation results and performance assessment provide evidence of enhanced efficiency, reliability and adaptive capacity in operation compared to other common alternatives. The demonstration was based on enhanced sustainability and cost-efficient real-time energy distribution. |
